RIP Blender

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Following an astounding redesign by Dirk Barnett, Blender Magazine was one of the finest recent examples of editorial design. Under the Art Direction Robert Vargas, Eamo had been providing regular monthly spots, but his most recent commission was the most ambitious to date, a 4 page comic detailing the adventures of the band Mastodon at the New York comic-con. Although it didn't make it to print before the publication folded it can still be found on the Blender Blog here: ‘The Astounding Adventures of Mastodon’.

This was one of the most exciting projects we have worked on at the agency, with Eamo conquering a brand new medium, plus the collaboration between writer, art director, and editor, made it a true group effort. Such a shame we will never see it in print!

In other news, Justin Maller releases new artwork in the recent Depthcore pack.

Lastly, Madeleine Stamer currently has an exhibition on show in Bendigo - ‘Birdsville’ New and recent bird inspired work from May 2 - June 18.
